2016: our best bits

2016 has been a monumental year for events that will go down in the history, for better and for worse… But let’s not forget what an incredibly rich and diverse year it was for music!

At Canal Mills, we loved hosting every single one of our parties, trying new foods, drinking craft beers, and raving with world-class DJs – so, we want to share the best parts of it all with you.

In 2016…

annie3

We danced for nine hours straight at Annie Mac’s All Day Rave with Groove Armada, Paul Woolford, Section Boyz and Fatima Yamaha…

cmillsburgercmillspizza3

We tried delicious food from independent vendors at Brandon Street Night Market for the Leeds Indie Food Festival…

dj-harvey

We spoke to DJ Harvey on his impressive DJ career ahead the Red Bull Music Academy which we hosted with Leon Vynehall, Job Jobse and Palms Trax on the decks…

mono

We held the biggest NYD party to date, celebrating eight years of Mono_cult,  one of the north’s most iconic house and techno night with Nina Kravitz, Bicep, John Talabot, Midland and Matt Long. It set the bar high for 2016…

Since then, we made sure every night was as big and bold as the last…
